Living life.

Hey, I’m Ashley Madden. Quick TL;DR: I’m currently open to any full-time or contract/freelance positions in content writing or project management that could use my past in real estate, management, marketing, or writing. I have a BBA in management, minor in marketing, my Georgia real estate license, HubSpot Social Media Certification, Google Ads Search Certification, and SEMrush for Digital Agencies Certification. Oh, and I’m more than willing to relocate for the right position.

Ready to change the world.

As a child, I told my granddaddy that my goal in life was to help nature and make the world better. About 20 years later, I’m still forging a path that will help me do just that – help the world and reduce out impact on nature. 2020 was crazy, and now I’m looking for the next step in that path.

Learning constantly.

3 certifications – 1 license – 1 degree

It’s my firm belief that if you stop learning, you stop growing and progressing. My education started with a BBA in management and minor in marketing (Cum Laude) from Kennesaw State University. However, it hasn’t stopped. I went onto enhance my understanding of marketing with three certifications:

  • HubSpot Social media Certification
  • SEMrush for Digital Agencies Certification
  • Google Ads Search Certification

Recently, I used my two years in architecture schooling and past working with real estate and construction brands to obtain a Georgia real estate license. Soon, I’ll be working on my PMP to continue to enhance what I know and how I can help my future employer and the world.

Working hard.

Internships

During early college, I participated in internships both for architecture and marketing.

It was an amazing chance to learn about how I could use my knowledge to help brands grow and further my career.

Working in marketing

During late college and after graduation, I began working to help small businesses build and grow marketing departments.

These experiences enabled me to make the jump into freelancing and contract work.

Zeal Marketing Group

Since 2018, I’ve been offering my services for many different brands on a freelance and contract basis.

My specialty is working with construction, technology, and marketing businesses on streamlining, management, marketing, and writing.

Real Estate

In 2020, I decided that I wanted to get into real estate part-time given my extensive work with real estate agents in the past.

I obtained my license recently and am currently working my way into the real estate profession.

Realizing truths.

2020 burnout made me look forward.

In 2020, I had a child while moving back into the USA during a pandemic. That means, I also had to buy a home in a new city and build a life without going anywhere non-essential.

After my kid was born, I didn’t take any time off. Rather, I right away became the primary caregiver and home caretaker as well as a business owner/freelancer. After a few months of what was essentially 4 full-time jobs, burnout happened and I realized it was time for a new path – one that will take me to a team and closer to my passions.

Looking forward.

2021 – a year to propel into my career.

Burnout make me realize that my current role in life wasn’t one that I would make me happy in the long-run. Yes, freelancing has taught me a lot and afforded some amazing opportunities. However, it has it’s drawbacks. So, I want to join a team – a place where I can work with other amazing people to make a difference.

At present, I’m looking for opportunities where I can make a career helping the world or the people that live on it. I’m open to relocating to most any major US city and would love to talk about any freelance, contract, or full-time roles you think would be perfect for my skillset. To save you time, here are a few quick things often asked that I’m more than happy to answer.

I’ve predominantly worked within the technology and construction/real estate industries during college and after. However, I’m not opposed to using my skills somewhere new if it turns out to be the best for both of us.
In addition to a BBA in management, a minor in marketing, three certifications, and a real estate license, I also have over 5 years of experience writing and marketing.
I’m more than happy to work from my current home (I have over 4 years of experience working remotely.) But, for the right position, I’m happy to move to any major metropolitan city in California, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Virginia. I can be there as soon as 4 weeks from a meeting of the minds!

Ideally, I’d love to find a career in a city where I  could stay, help, and grow for many years to come.
